We created these earrings for The Princess of Wales to thank her for her incredible support in helping us raise over £20,000 for our chosen mental health charity Brave Mind. In 2023 The Princess wore our Issy Star earrings on World Mental Health Day to honor my cousin Issy, who tragically took her life. To say it meant the world to us as a family would be an understatement. It wasn’t just that she wore the earrings—it was the way she did it, with the utmost compassion and thoughtfulness. Because of this our Issy Star earrings sold well and we were able to raise a great amount for our chosen mental health charity as £5 from the sale of every pair goes to Brave Mind.
The Princess of Wales visited Issy’s rugby club where she was a coach and met with Sarah, Issy's mum. They had a beautiful conversation where Sarah shared Issy’s story, gifted her a pair of the Issy Star earrings and explained our mission for the charity. Catherine responded with such warmth and compassion, embracing Sarah like only another mother could. That moment was so incredibly special.
The reason why Catherine wearing the earrings on World Mental Health Day was so significant is that she didn’t just wear them at any time—she chose to wear them on this day to honour Issy and raise awareness about mental health. She used that moment to tell the world how much she cared and to show how deeply she supports others. Catherine’s kindness and support have been nothing short of remarkable, and her gesture will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
